Five years ago I was interviewed by Cheryl Threadgold who was researching for her book
IN THE NAME OF THEATRE
The History, Culture and Voices of Amateur Theatre in Victoria.
It was with great pleasure that I was invited to sit in on the Video Conference of the launch of the book on Saturday 5th of September. I believe over 200 people attended the video conference with the book being launched by theatre Historian Frank Van Straten AM.
I do recommend this book it’s a fantastic collection of stories of 70+ theatre companies like ourselves supported by volunteers. The history starts from the 1800’s to today.
Congratulations Cheryl on capturing the essence of Amateur Theatre in Victoria.
The book goes on sale in good bookstores from late September.
